While, you've probably seen Murder Mountain on Netflix or at least heard of Vice's Weediquette, here are four feature-length documentaries on cannabis that you should definitely add to your list!

Hip hop legend, Fab Five Freddy digs deep into the history of the drug as well as the racism and drug wars that have been associated with illegal cannabis. With input from popular artists like Snoop Dogg and B-Real, this documentary takes us from the 1920s into today’s modern era of cannabis. It's definitely an eye-opener and got a solid 7.1 rating on IMDb.

Super High Me

You might have seen Super Size Me and decided not to eat McDonald's. This documentary might not have the same effect, albeit with cannabis, but it's definitely a must-see! Former Stoner of the Year, Doug Benson is determined to discover the true effects of cannabis on the human body. The stand-up comedian documents his experience abstaining from cannabis for 30 days, followed by consuming large amounts of it for 30 days. This documentary is definitely more than just an amusing story!

Weed the People

Abby Epstein and Ricki Lake provide an empathetic glimpse into the lives of families who have taken their children’s lives into their own hands by using cannabis oil to combat childhood cancers. This fact-based and passionate documentary makes a great argument on the benefits of legalizing medical cannabis in the USA and beyond. IMDb describes this doc as, "Patients suffering from cancer, and their families, struggle against mean-spirited legislation, and the proclaimed goal of Attorney General Jeff Sessions to roll back marijuana reforms in states such as California."

The Culture High

Featuring familiar faces like Joe Rogan, Richard Branson, and Nancy Grace, this doc digs into the laws around cannabis in the USA as well as the arguments for and against legalization. This 2014 documentary has a stellar 8.2 IMDb rating and a whopping 91% rating from Rotten Tomatoes. With such high ratings, this is definitely a contender for a Netflix and chill night.
